Farewell PTown

Not being a particularly emotional person I have been surprised at my recent bouts of nostalgia and sincere appreciation about living on the outer Cape.  I have realized how perfectly content I am and feel lucky to be here doing what I'm doing with the people I have around me. It has been hitting me while driving along empty back roads, hiking with Walter, or out with friends. Again, not to be sentimental because its been weirding me out as well, but I am just really grateful of my recent experiences and those I've been sharing them with.

Its unbelievable that its already mid-May and only a few weeks before the designated start of summer. Winter in Provincetown has been unforgettable, and here are some of my favorite memories and things that I will miss most:

Just started moving into our new place for the summer/fall in Truro last night. Its across the street from a farm and close to Corn Hill Beach. Rad city. The summer will get hectic quick, and as of now I'll be doing my usual "efficiently" packed schedule of PCCS and waitressing. Summer 2012 part deux with lil B, can't wait.

May Day

Apologies for the delay, which I know is the standard this time of year. This instance, however, is due to a legitimate reason of working hard and often and some life planning. There have been a ton of right whales in the bay, as well as a lot of other rad stuff (sei whales, fin whales, humpbacks, etc.), and we've been out on the boat more than ever. There also has been a lot of press as of late. Not just this infamous St. Paddy's Day cover:

The new PR includes Cape Cod Times last Sunday (April 28 CC Times Right whale story) seen below, and today's cruise with WBZ Channel 4. Should be on tonight or tomorrow's PM news, so watch for this girl. Plus, this weekend we may have a certain Animal Planet host. NBD. 

So  needless to say with this real life ish, in addition to my go to's of karaoke/trivia/hikes/shenanigans, I have neglected this labor of love. Will be having an alleged last hurrah for real this time on Cape this summer, and then have a few tentative plans this fall.

This upcoming week includes a lot of work, some moving around, and without Walter boy. We definitely have developed complexes about each other, and even though its only been a day, I feel like I'm missing something without him around. Can't wait to be reunited with the Moose Sunday.
